Stage design for miniatura Theathe
director: Edyta Janusz Ehlich
Zuza the Caterpillar wants to change – she wants to become different, better. Ziuta the Dung Beetle believes change is just a whim. Why change at all? You simply roll your ball of dung. That’s life. Who is right? Or maybe they both are? “Change Yourself!” is a story about the desire for change, the pursuit of change, and a shifting perspective on what change really means. It is also about the value of being here and now, about friendship, and about accepting what is. The set design marks the theatrical debut of painter Marcin Zawicki, a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, whose work is deeply inspired by nature. He received the Gdańsk Theatre Award for the set design in March 2023. The music was composed by Michał Jacaszek, a composer and producer of electroacoustic music, combining electronically processed sounds with live instrumentation.
